Confirmation is an important milestone in the spiritual journey of your child, and we are excited to offer this opportunity at Ardmore First Methodist! Beginning in the spring semester of 2026, we invite your 8th grader to join our Confirmation program to deepen their faith and prepare for a life of discipleship, Christian service, and faithful obedience to Jesus.
What is Confirmation?
Confirmation is a time for young people to explore and affirm their Christian faith. It is a chance for them to go deeper in their understanding of God’s Word and to choose to follow Jesus more intentionally. At Ardmore First, our Confirmation program is designed specifically for 8th graders, but older youth are also welcome to participate. While Confirmation is not required, it is a valuable opportunity for those ready to take the next step in their faith journey.
Through this program, your child will be guided by our pastoral staff, including Senior Pastor David Daniel, Associate Pastors John Hollon and Kira Calhoun-Wilson, and Interim Youth Ministry Director Danielle Brown. We are also blessed to have Scott & Lisa Pope and Brawn & Jaclyn Lide serving as Confirmation leaders.
We believe Confirmation is not just a routine event but a transformational experience empowered by the Holy Spirit. We pray that your child will grow in faith and be equipped for a lifetime of discipleship and service.
